Take Me Out to the Ball Park.....

Take Me Out to the Ball Park....well Heritage's Ball Park that is! It is Take Me Out to the Ball Park Night this week at LOGOS. We will celebrate the World Series and the Pittsburgh Pirates winning season. Wear your favorite team's hat or colors.

We will also enjoy a Puppet Show after dinner put on by the k-3rd grade children. Under the supervision of Cyndi and Mike McAleer the kids have been learning how to become puppeteers during their worship skills class.  Thank you to Cyndi and Mike for their time in teaching the children about how to work and perform with puppets.  The kids are all enjoying it.

Parents can join us for dinner at 6:00 pm. We'll be enjoying Walking Tacos. If you can't make it to dinner, arrive by 6:30 to see the show.


Also,  please keep these important dates in mind:



Oct 16th: Puppet Show! As mentioned above, the children in K-3rd grade will be performing their puppet show after dinner at LOGOS. Arrive by 6:30 to see the show.  You can also join us for dinner that night at 6 pm, just let us know.  Grandparents and siblings can attend too.

Oct 20th: Puppet Show Take 2! Children in Grades 5th – 8th will be performing the Puppet show that they have been working on during Heritage's worship service at 10am.

Oct 23rd: Trunk N Treat! LOGOS Children arrive at 4pm as usual.  Have your child either come in costume or bring it to LOGOS.  Parents should arrive by 6pm to join in the Trunk' n Treat festivities. 

Sunday Worship: Your family is always welcome to worship with us at Heritage Church. Our Service begins at 10am and Sunday School is available for all ages afterwards.

Everything is Backwards this Week at LOGOS!

Oh boy oh boy, we get to eat desert first this Wednesday night.  It can only mean one thing. It is Backwards Night! Join us this Wednesday, and see what a great time we can have together. 

You are welcomed to bring a friend. Just let us know so we can feed him or her well! Contact the church office at 412-366-1338 and let us know how many friends you are bringing.

Our meal this week is chicken nuggets, pasta salad, applesauce and easy caramel apple bars. Yum!

Have some fun, come dressed backwards.

Important Parent Meeting August 28th

Dear Parents,

Summer is almost over and school is just around the bend.  This means it's time for  LOGOS to start up again. There are lots of familiar and lots of new things that will be happening. One of the new things is me, and I am looking forward to meeting you all at the parent meeting.

Your child is invited to join us for LOGOS. The 2013-14 Year kicks off on Wednesday, September 11th , from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Children kindergarten through 8th grade are welcome to attend.  Volunteer opportunities are available for those in 9th grade and beyond.

First, however, we will have the annual Parent Meeting on Wednesday, August 28th, at 6:30 pm. This mandatory, adult only, meeting will last one hour and is designed to show an overview of the program and a preview of the year. At least one parent/guardian from each family MUST attend in order to register your child. There will be several forms to fill out for each child participating in LOGOS and you’ll receive a $5 registration day discount!  Bring your friends, family, and neighbors along that have children who also are interested in the program.

We’d prefer that you attend this Parent Meeting. The more in advance we know the numbers and ages of the children registered, the better we will be able to plan and prepare.  If, however, you cannot attend this important meeting, please contact me at 724-453-4208 to arrange for a private meeting prior to September 4th.  You may also contact Heritage Church at 412-366-1338 with any questions.

I am looking forward to the start of LOGOS and getting to know your children and you. Exciting things are happening at Heritage’s LOGOS program. Most important is renewing and providing nurturing, loving Christian relationships between all involved, children and adults alike.
